Lombardo’s Pizzeria returns to Expo 86 prices (in house only)
In tribute to Expo 86, which kicked off 30 years ago this month, Lombardo’s, located at 1641 Commercial Drive, is offering all medium-sized pizzas for $9.75, plus taxes — the same price, the pizzeria said, as in 1986 when Lombardo’s also started up.

Hugh Fraser Quartet featuring Daniel Miles Kane
This core group is preparing for a Western Canadian jazz festival tour and recording will feature the explosive but always lyrical sax statements of Danny Kane inspired by Mingus, George Adams and Pharoah Sanders while Hugh Fraser on piano, Blaine Wikjord on drums and Allan Johnston on bass drive original and standard statements to the stratosphere of sonic possibilities.

Rebecca Kilgore is one of America’s leading song stylists one of the best rhythm guitarist anywhere. She finds particular delight in preserving and interpreting the music of the Great American Songbook. Rebecca has recorded with Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Dave Frishberg, Harry Allen, and Jeff Hamilton. She has been inducted into both the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and the Jazz Society of Oregon’s Hall Of Fame.

Ray Condo Day Monday May 16
Fellow Ray Condo fans CELEBRATE RAY ON HIS BIRTHDAY (May 16, 1950) wherever you are on RAY CONDO DAY! Ray passed away twelve years ago (April 14, 2004) but his spirit lives on. So lift a jar, play his music, share your stories and lasting memories, favourite photos and videos. Just remember to take a few minutes and celebrate Ray’s life, his art on May 16th.
