CBC Musical Nooners July 15-Aug 23
The sounds of summer are here: the CBC Musical Nooners return for their fifth year! These free, live music concerts will be happening every weekday on the CBC plaza on Hamilton Street (between West Georgia and Robson).

Bard on the Beach Festival June 11-Sept 20
Celebrating its 25th Season in 2014, Bard on the Beach is one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festivals. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two performance tents from June through September.

The indomitable Jacques Lalonde, previews his hilarious and poignant one-man show STROKE OF LUCK at Railtown Cultural Eclective’s Trier Series. On July 1, 2013, Jacques Lalonde had a stroke that left him without the use of his right arm and right side of his face. STROKE OF LUCK uses Jacques’ renowned storytelling skills to give us an inside look at how the brain works and the difficult road to recovery. We learn about the value of reaching out to friends, staying positive and see some of the crazy exercises one has to do to get back to “normal.”
