CBC Musical Nooners July 15-Aug 23
The sounds of summer are here: the CBC Musical Nooners return for their fifth year! These free, live music concerts will be happening every weekday on the CBC plaza on Hamilton Street (between West Georgia and Robson).

Bard on the Beach Festival June 11-Sept 20
Celebrating its 25th Season in 2014, Bard on the Beach is one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festivals. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two performance tents from June through September.

Harmony Arts Festival Aug 1-10
West Vancouver hosts their annual 10 day open-air celebration of visual, performing and culinary arts on the waterfront. Lots of excellent music. Check the schedule.

Lincoln Clarkes: Giving Notice
A collection of recent photographs by Lincoln Clarkes. The prolific photographer presents candid images from his unique point of view, surveying moments of everyday, capturing the in-between. Lincoln Clarkes’ body of work spans four decades. After first emerging in 1980 as an infamous Vancouver street artist and designer/painter, Clarkes abandoned the paint in favour of fashion and portrait assignments. His work has been published extensively nationally and internationally including the artists books Cyclists (2013), Views (2006) and Heroines (2002).

The band has been swinging around Vancouver since the 70’s sharing their Django inspired gypsy-jazz. Deanna Knight is their longest running chanteuse joining the band in 2002. She will charm you with her sultry vocals, passionate tangos and loads of HOT swing on a hot August night.

Each pilgrim throws themselves heart and soul into their incredibly challenging trek to Santiago de Compostela, and most importantly, their personal journey to themselves.
