Happy Canada Day July 1 everyone!!
2014 FIFA World Cup continues…
Commercial Drive is alive!! –from Venables to Broadway—the place to watch the World Cup in Vancouver. Because there are so many European and Latin restaurants, bars and cafes on The Drive, it’s the natural epicenter for World Cup viewing–and celebrating: the final victory party for whoever wins the World Cup 2014 will happen here. In 2006, when Italy won, traffic was shut down when triumphant fans stormed the street! Proof positive below…..
And the winner of the contest to name the 2 musicians celebrating with me in 2006 is…. no-one!! (Cameron H. recognized one musician so maybe he will get half a glass of something.)
On the right Tino Zolfo, bass player/songwriter/producer. On the left Johannes Grames, guitar player/owner Moody Music.

Chor Leoni :Manely #1’s
From One Singular Sensation to One is the Loneliest Number, the idea of ‘one’ has infused our musical culture. Chor Leoni closes its season on the Bard stage with Manely #1’s, an exploration of the concept of ‘#1.’ Number one pop hits, an artist’s first song, and showstoppers from top Broadway shows are grist for the madcap collective creativity that is Chor Leoni. Memorable music, comedic turns, and stylish choreography
