Sonic Boom Music Festival 2014 – Vancouver is abuzz with vibrant, contemporary, classical music, and the Sonic Boom Festival is alive with it. March 26-30th, two acoustically beautiful venues on Seymour Street will find themselves surrounded by the sounds of British Columbia’s vibrant, contemporary, classical (New Music) scene.

Friday Night Movie at the Rio Theatre: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan – Among both die-hard Trekkies and discerning cinephiles (the two are not mutually exclusive), The Wrath of Khan sits at the top of the list as not just the best Star Trek movie ever produced, but maybe even as one of the best science fiction films ever made. This movie is best enjoyed with an adult beverage of your choice, buttery popcorn, candy, and an ooey-gooey grilled cheese sandwich. For maximum entertainment value, costumes are encouraged. (Costumes knock $2 off the ticket price.)
