Jeni’s Picks of the Week July 13-17, 2016

I spied a ray of sun a few moments ago and rushed onto the balcony to bask in it.. only to have it disappear as quickly as it arrived and to feel raindrops falling on my head! That weather app is all wet as it has those annoying little sun icons displayed all across the page for this afternoon.   Oh well, at the least the rain is warm and there are lots of events to divert our attention and bring a little cultural sunshine into our lives…. though some of them are outdoors so we do need to think real sunshine!! And here is an interesting little video by Marcio Siecola about Pat’s Pub I wasn’t aware of before (thanks Neal).. if you are a patron you will definitely recognize lots of folks featured. https://youtu.be/q-h_6ilDmwA Apparently the links in this post may not work.  Trying to figure out what has gone awry. So for now please have patience and copy and paste. Please check all venues for changes in programming and apologies as usual to any important

I am now compiling a 2nd list of low-cost and free Jazz Festival events which will follow in a couple of days. I hope these picks lists are helpful in plotting your path through the plethora of wonderful events on offer this summer. Certainly this is only a fraction of what is actually out there.
